Android to get Cortana by Microsoft: A new personal assistant!

Microsoft has finally released more information for their long awaited port of Personal Assistant Cortana to the massive Android audience.

Cortana is a personal assistant announced by Microsoft during the release of Windows 8.1 for Windows Mobile, a Personal Assistant to compete with Apple iOS Siri and Google Android Google Now. Cortana, name taken from the Personal Assistant from popular video game Halo, can integrate with third-party apps via a new API intrdocued by Microsoft.

Cortana can set reminders, track your flights, tell you the weather, send messages, and answer easy question. Currently only supports searching the Web via Microsoft search engine Bing, and has yet to support others such as Google or DuckDuckGo.

Various sections of Cortana can also be pinned to a Users Start Screen, including Weather, Reminders, and News for quick acess. The app when launched can optionally display a 'Daily Glance' that allows a quick glance at the weather, traffic, and headlines of the day. 

Although Microsoft hasn't given a definite date on their release date, they have said it will release sometime June, 2015 for both iOS and Android users. It can be integrated into their new Windows 10 OS that sports Cortana in the new OS. 

"The Cortana app can do most of the things Cortana does on your PC or on a Windows phone. You can have Cortana remind you to pick up milk the next time you're at the grocery store, and then your phone will wake up and buzz with the reminder. You'll be able to track a flight using Cortana on both your phone and your PC, and get the updates on the device that you're on so you don't miss anything. Everything in Cortana's Notebook will show up across all your devices and any changes you make on one device will be reflected when you use Cortana on any of your other devices. The Cortana companion app will help you complete tasks you begin on your PC wherever you are, on your phone."

However Microsoft has said that they can not provide all the features for Android and iOS devices as Windows Mobile offers due to permissions and integration issues. Features such as toggling Settings or opening apps will not be available. Similarly, the ability to open Cortana with a simple, "Hey Cortana", will be unavailable.

      Let me just skip and tell you the main awesome feature of Android M that is  NOW ON TAP  that is Google now will be constantly knowing what are you using in apps so if you are like listening to a song in music app and you can just ask "who is this singer" without saying anything else google know what song you mean when you say "this" and gives you direct answers same with some apps for now another example you can check on a place in the map and you can just ask google about the place without saying any details .Google Now at the core of assisting

 App Permission 

    finally android is bringing feature to users to take control of apps meaning you now have the control to give permission separately as you want for every permission the app wants unlike app forcing to have all permissions 

     * Android Pay With native support for Finger print Google Now revamps  google wallet and making pay simple like Apple pay as you know already

     

    * Chrome Tabs which lets you open a webpage inside the page like you see in    chrome but inside the app itself which means that Chrome build into apps

    

 

  * Doze off which lets your phone to use less battery when its on the table etc

     *New type C port support to make faster charging and also to charge some other device from your phone

So this is the main point of Android M to fix the Bugs of android Lollipop which alot of people seems to complain now google is hearing and pretty much this will be a Fixed version of Android L they also dumped the vol panel of lollipop for simpler look and more options with drop
